The Durga Temple is situated in the state of Virginia. It is considered to be the first Durga temple in the state and in USA. The main image that is worshiped here is that of Goddesses Durga and apart from this there are images of Lord Shiva, Narayan, Lord Krishna, and of many other gods and goddesses. If you want to visit the temple you need to reach there within 7am to 12pm in the day time and 4pm to 9pm in the evening. The time often changes according to the temples authority.
The temple premise is one of the most soothing places. You feel like spending sufficient times in sitting in the temple. The temple is divided into different sections; there is a separate section where the images of gods and goddesses are kept and separate sections for the visitors to sit and pray. The temple has its own board of trustees, it also comprises of different committees; these are several administrative bodies of the temple. The temple takes up different ceremonies and activities. This particular temple maintains the culture and heritage of India in the United States of America.
